About adding grids and graticules. Note: This topic was updated for 9.3.1. ArcMap contains several types of grids and graticules, or reference systems, that can be added to a map in layout view (they don't appear in data view).You can. Place a grid that expresses location in geographic coordinates (degrees of latitude and longitude) by choosing the graticule type. In the example below, the two pushpins mark the original points created in Google Earth, and the grid was created specifying “10” as the number of lines: By checking the Draw Path box, I can draw a line between these two points, and put arrow markers on the end of it; “Link last to first” closes the path if checked.

I have a grid which adapts to columns and rows.In that grid I have to draw an arc which extends and stretches to the Whole parent grid.
I have tried that
but nothing appears.
Additionally I am wondering if there is a more straithforward solution to achieve the goal.
And then, I don't want to set the size of the arc, I want it to stretch to the parent size, possibly with a margin.
Thank you very much

If you cannot access ActualWidth and ActualHeight it's for the grid isn't still loaded. What I suggest is to put the code in the gridLoaded Event.Additionally I strongly suggest that solution for it makes it much easier to draw arcs.
So in short in the constructor:
grd.Loaded += Grd_Loaded;
and then after the event has been fired
}

The destination point of the arc should not be be 0,0. Set it to a valid point and also set the
mm8mm8Stroke
and Fill
properties of the Path

The Freehand tool allows you to create lines that follow the movement of your pointer. The segments are smoothed into Bézier curves when you finish the shape. For this reason, the Freehand tool is most useful when making quick, free-form design notes (redlining), such as indicating a study area on a map.
If you want to create freehand polygons that adjoin each other, you can use the Auto-Complete Freehand tool. This tool allows you to use a freehand drawing to append a new polygon to the boundary of an existing polygon.
The following keyboard shortcuts are available with the Freehand tool:
Keyboard shortcut | Editing function |
---|---|
SPACEBAR | Snap to an existing feature. |
M | Draw a freehand line by holding down the left mouse button while dragging. This is most useful for tablet computing since it allows you to digitize when the pen is pressed down and stop when you lift up the pen. |
